Smooth skin texture & reduce pigmentation
What is Halo?
HaloTM is a Sciton hybrid fractional laser that utilizes adjustable wavelengths to target specific facial skin concerns and promote an even skin tone and smooth texture.Halo can reduce the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin textures, and sun spots that develop over time due to age, sun exposure, or harsh uncontrollable pollutants. Halo is also able to address skin pigmentation, reducing the appearance of age spots, as well as clearing the skin of facial blemishes or scarring.
Here at Forever Young Laser Skin Rejuvenation we feature the world renowned Sciton JOULE ™ laser system due to its ability to treat a wide range of skin conditions safely, effectively & comfortably. With our Sciton BBL System you are guaranteed to look and feel forever beautiful.*
Just one treatment can bring back that healthy, youthful glow.
This treatment emits both ablative and non-ablative laser wavelengths in unison while allowing the aestheticians the ability to individually adjust the strength of the wavelengths depending on the required treatment and the patient’s desired results. We urge all patients concerned with the appearance of their skin to request a consultation at Forever Young Laser Skin Rejuvenation with one of our accomplished providers to see how Halo treatments can help you.
Ablative and Non-Ablative
Halo uses two types of laser wavelengths, ablative and non-ablative, in a combined effect to provide overall enhanced skin quality and appearance. The combination of these modalities allows the patient to enjoy the benefits of laser resurfacing and deep rejuvenation.
Non-ablative 1470nm laser wavelengths penetrate deep into the skin to heat the target areas and promote the production of healthier tissue and skin. The micro channels created by the infrared lasers initiate a natural response in the body to heal the ‘wound’ and stimulate coagulation and increased collagen production. This action addresses scars and age spots as well as tightens and smooths the surface skin.
Ablative 2940nm laser wavelengths work on the surface to remove damaged skin and reveal new, healthy skin. The ablative erbium YAG wavelengths are emitted with controlled precision from the Sciton laser. Water in the damaged tissue is targeted and heated to effectively address the imperfections. These wavelengths work best to treat wrinkles and sun damage.
Our highly skilled medical aestheticians at Forever Young Laser Skin Rejuvenation will create a customized treatment plan to address the patient’s skin concerns.
Just about anyone can qualify for Halo treatments! Halo works great for men and women concerned with visible sun damage, enlarged pores, poor tone and texture, and visible marks or scars on their face. Ideal patients will be healthy, nonsmoking, and have good skin elasticity. Patients should not have any open wounds on the treatment area or active skin infections. Patients that would like to see if Halo treatments are right for them are encouraged to contact us and set up a consultation.
During the consultation, our professionals will examine the areas of concern, then keeping in mind the patient’s desired outcome, make personalized recommendations to achieve the finest results. Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser addresses a wide variety of skin concerns and has greatly benefitted many of our patients.
Benefits Of Halo
The ability to use multiple wavelengths while being able to adjust and control the intensity of each allows to precisely and accurately treat problem areas. Additionally, motion tracking technology is integrated within the system, meaning that the skin will be treated uniformly. Halo is a great option for women and men who like chemical peels as well as laser treatments because they can enjoy the best of both worlds in a single treatment session. Patients who have undergone Halo treatments are amazed by the long-lasting results.
Halo is preferred over other laser treatments because of its advanced technology which targets the precise depth needed to address the underlying causes of imperfections and promotes the growth of healthy skin cells and the increase of collagen production.
Another great benefit of Halo is its ability to address old acne scars and deep-set marks by non-surgical means. The Halo procedure can be performed in less an hour and the patient is free to return to work. Many patients have said the process is pain-free.
Our professionals can address any concerns or questions our patients may have in determining if Halo will be of benefit to them. Scheduling a consultation with one of our accomplished professionals is the first step towards crafting a custom Halo treatment plan.

Halo and BBL are both facial rejuvenation devices, but there are differences that make patients better suited for one treatment over the other. Broad Band Light is a light-based treatment, emitting pulses of light energy to the skin. The short bursts of light from this Intense Pulsed Light device cover a large area of skin, making it an ideal treatment for skin concerns such as freckles, rosacea, acne, age spots, and mild skin laxity. The heat from the light emitted stimulates the growth of new skin cells and increases collagen production.
Halo, as stated above, utilizes non-ablative and ablative wavelengths simultaneously to treat smaller areas with more accuracy. Halo is ideal for patients looking to treat wrinkles, pigmentation, enlarged pores, and acne scars. The two wavelengths target the epidermis and dermis for total rejuvenation.
One treatment is not better than the other; they both have their strengths. The treatment right for you will have to be determined after a discussion with one of our professionals and a consultation examination.
Patients who have undergone Halo treatment can notice initial results within the first week of treatment. Halo results tend to become more visible around 2-3 weeks after the treatment and continue to improve. After the Halo procedure, patients are encouraged to take it easy for the remainder of the day while their skin positively reacts to the treatment. Halo may cause slight swelling, redness, or itching, but these side effects all go away within a few days.
Our medical aestheticians at Forever Young Laser Skin Rejuvenation recommend using a cold compress on the face after treatment to reduce swelling and sensitivity. The week following the initial Halo treatment, patients may see some spots or tint on the treated area similar to a tan. This is normal and will subside quickly. As the skin heals, our patients are advised to wear a hat and a high-level SPF sunscreen to keep the newly treated skin protected from sun damage. This is also recommended for general use whenever the patient will be exposed to the sun for good skin care.
Halo hybrid fractional laser treatment varies in cost based on the extent of treatment and the number of sessions undergone to achieve maximum results. We may also recommend additional facial rejuvenation treatments which will alter the price.
During the consultation, the medical aesthetician will examine the patient’s skin and specific areas of concern. The purpose of the consultation is to determine whether or not the patient is a good candidate for the treatment, or they would be better suited for an alternative facial rejuvenation treatment. Once it is verified that the patient is an ideal candidate, the practitioner will then design a personalized treatment plan specific to meet the patient’s individual needs. Some patients only need one treatment session to accomplish their desired look, while others with more concerns may require multiple treatments. The exact amount of recommended treatments to obtain optimal results will be advised during the consultation. The provider will go over any preparatory treatment care plans as well as advise the patient on what to expect the day of treatment. Consultations can be arranged by calling 780-758-7727, online chat, email, or with our online booking system. If you decide to proceed, a $25 consultation fee is required which can be used towards your treatment. We look forward to hearing from you.
"No wonder Halo™ has become a #1 procedure. The combination of great results and unmatched patient comfort has generated tremendous word-of-mouth among doctors and patients."
"Compared to other IPL technologies BroadBand Light™ or BBL from Sciton has made skin rejuvenation much more comfortable for me, largely because the technology has been easier to use, it is faster, and treats a larger spot size."
"I love seeing the same patients time and again and with Forever Young BBL™, they look younger year after year. Patients who maintain a regular regimen of BBL can expect skin that looks better today than it did a decade ago"
